Your engine’s performance can be improved by selecting carefully matched components that are optimized to work together for total performance and efficiency.

For example, the “sweet-spot” of the engine’s compression matches “sweet-spot” of the camshaft, which matches the “sweet-spot” of the cylinder heads, which matches the “sweet-spot” of the headers. When these “sweet-spots” line up, you get a home run in driveability and overall power.

With this in mind MTI RACING has developed "stages" to offer customers a step-by-step approach to enhance power output on an efficient system level. Depending on budget and desires, one can add stages over time or go all-out immediately, but either way any stage will provide performance and reliability in a well-balanced package.

C6 Z06 STAGE 1 ENGINE UPGRADE

2005 - 2008 Corvette

7.0L (427 cu.in.) engine package

The Stage 1 for C6 Z06 is the first step in great performance. You will experience approximately 50 hp increase, better throttle response, and noticeable improvement in power in the midrange. The engine compartment also maintains a “factory look”. This is a great package for those who want more “zip” from the engine while maintaining stock mannerisms.

C6 Z06 STAGE 2 ENGINE UPGRADE

The Stage 2 is the next step to adding significant power to your Z06. You will arrive at approx. 620-630 horsepower and still be very pleased with the street mannerisms. The midrange power will accelerate the car faster than you think. The car will have a medium lope at idle, and is easy to drive in stop and go traffic.

Like the Stage 1, the engine compartment also maintains a “factory look”. If you have been considering a “head/cam” package, the Stage 2 is much more than bolt-on parts. This system has been engineered to deliver true, total performance results.

STAGE 2 EXTREME ENGINE UPGRADE

The Stage 2 Extreme is for those who want the fastest accelerating, snappiest, naturally aspirated LS7 engine on the block. It is our most popular selling street engine that gives you phenomenal power in a reliable street package. In fact, almost all of our customers who drive to the race track, race all weekend, and drive home, are equipped with the MTI Racing Stage 2 Extreme. On a 2007 Z06, the Stage 2 Extreme delivers approximately 570hp to the wheels. That is about 675 engine horsepower! The other guys won’t know what beat them until it was all over. The secret to the Stage 2 Extreme is in the cylinder heads. MTI Racing has created a unique CNC porting procedure that unleashes an additional 35 rear-wheel horsepower above other competitive ported LS7 heads. This package raises the bar for the daily driven sportscar.

The Stage 2 Extreme includes all the components of the Stage 2 in addition to:

• MTI Racing LS7 Cylinder Heads, High-flow Ported and hand finished w/ Serdi multi-angle valve job and finish milling
• MTI Racing Intake Manifold Ported and port matched
