With the newest generation ZR-1 and it's supercharged powerplant we knew we needed to research and develop a similar engine upgrade for the C6-ZO6. We've just started initial testing on this package and the results are impressive, but true to our goals of total performance upgrades, long term testing will now begin.
Having our own Dyno test cell as a tool has payed dividends in doing such a project, the 7.0 liter LS-7 was topped off with a Eaton TVS Supercharger with 7.5 lb. of boost. With MTIR LS based heads and our Stage II engine upgrade we achieved over 800+ HP while doing pulls on the dyno!
And This Was Only The Beginning !
The next step was vehicle based as new plumbing and bracket fabrication were worked out for the transplanting the Supercharged LS-7 into its new home. The chassis dyno another tool at our shop was put to work for final testing and tuning. Results far exceeded our expectations with astonishing numbers, it posted a hugh low end torque number of 600+RWT at 3000 RPM and above. That is the kind of number you will need to be ready for, reading about it is one thing, behind the wheel another!
That Being Said, It's Time To Head To The Track !
We have and always will, believe that the only true way to engineer for total performance is by showing up at the track and that's exactly what we did on the weekend of 8/ 8-9/'08 at Road Atlanta for a NASA Event. This was strictly a shake down test only ! But what transpired was another story!
Sunday resulted in a Time Trial class win with a lap time of 1.25.749 ! Yep we knew this beast was a stump puller, but no way did we expect this on a test weekend! If any of you follow SCCA Pro Racing during last years Petite LeMans at Road Atlanta Speeds World Challenge GT pole sitter was Randy Pobst in a Porsche 911 GT3 with a time of 1.25.689 ! If the Southern Stingray were prepped as a TRUE race vehicle we would have been second on the grid 1/10th of a second behind the leader and ahead of third place Andy Pilgrim in his race prepped CTS-V ! We are having a hard time saying it's still a street car ! But in reality if we put the passenger seat and carpet back in ....... it still is!

We are looking for a local Z06 owner who wants to be one of the first in the country to have this powerful kit installed on their car! We are looking for a stock Z06 so that baseline horsepower and torque numbers can be compared to the power after the install. We will need the car for approximately 30 days so we can document the install to submit to a magazine.
