Thats what they were saying this weekend when Chuck Wolf and his '99 C5 rolled into the paddock at Atlanta Motor Speedway Friday night. This mild mannered drag-racer made his return to defend his class win from last year. Don't let this senior fool ya! This former Navy jet pilot knows a thing or two about wicked launches and he must have caught a few young guns asleep at the tree because he came into the finals as eighth qualifier. This old dog has some tricks up his sleeve and came away with the top honors in the Domestic Advanced Class. Congratulations Chuck! ...... But wait there's more
After all that, he turns around and heads off to Brainard on Sunday and makes it through 4 rounds to get put out in the quarter finals. But that didn't stop him from coming back with the fastest E.T. trophy as a consolation prize though! So any of you fellow drag-racers who see that non-descript pickup with the old man hauling a black C5 come rolling into the track, we'll understand your saying Oh No! Chucks Back!
