Any heat soak issues for longer duration events?

Heat soak has always been one of the big issues for superchargers at the track. The TVS has changed all that.In our testing, one of the major benefits we have seen is the reduction in inlet teperatures with the TVS blower over the 112 or 122 design. The new family of superchargers has a much higher adiabatic effeciency. That means for each pound of boost created there is less temperature rise in the intake air. There are still concerns reguarding the inlet temperature as it is much higher than normal aspiration, but with intercooling we are controlling it to a reasonable level.

Is this a tvs1900 or the tvs2300 Supercharger Kit?

This package is based on the 1900 TVS becuase the low end torque will be more responsive. We are also working on a 2300 TVS for more radical builds.

Does this car have any head/cam work, thought I heard a lumpy cam in there somewhere...

You did hear a lopey cam in there! MTI Racing cylinder heads as well. Our intention right out of the box was to explore the limits of the STOCK short block assembly. The 800+hp package is proving quite reliable... no cooling or oiling issues. Major revisions have been done to the oiling schematic for track worthiness. An MTI Racing Trackoil System is included in the package. We are conducting tests and working on a forged piston build with beefed up internals.

Is there any type of warrenty with the package?

Our standard warranty is 12 months/12,000 miles but we are looking into offering an extended warranty with this package of 3 years/36,000 miles for an additional charge.

Once this package is completely developed will it have to be installed by MTI or could you order a complete kit and have a local shop do it ?

The initial installs will all be done in house. This is so that we can document how the TVS responds to a wide variety of engines. This will provide better photos and instructions thus improving the kit for those people who want to install the TVS system themselves. Our outlook for a mail order kit apears to be around Christmas of this year

Have you had any issues with the stock pistons and rods?

Our extensive testing on the stock pistons and rods has shown us that as long as we maintain excellent lubrication and temperature control the pistons and rods are more than sufficient. To assure the temperature remains optimal we install a MTIR / TVS severe duty radiator with integral oil cooler on every car. To achieve added lubrication every install includes a MTI Racing revised oil system with remote low restriction oil filter. These two factors insure long life of the stock rods and pistons.

Is the cam your running OEM?

The stock cam could be used with the TVS package, but we include in the install an MTI Racing cam.
